Nyariasi Spring is located in Rongo-Pala Subloaction in Wangchieng Location Kabondo East Ward, Kabondo/Kasipul Sub County in Homabay County. The spring is within Kawich Village. Nyariasi Spring is within a government gazetted wet land area that was donated by the community that surrounds the water point.

The spring serves over 200 homes with at least 5 member family per house hold. The community uses water from the spring for the domestic purpose such as drinking, cooking, washing and for the cattle. During the dry seasons people walk from as far distances of over 5 kilometers in search of the water from the neighborhood centers like Nyapalo and Kotutu.

Nyariasi Spring is now the fourth spring after OLogi,Karoko and Kadongo Springs that have been protected by Karopa CBO with the help of Friends of Kabondo fund mobilization. Clean and safe water for domestic use is still a big challenge to our society especially during the dry seasons. Our wish as a community based organization is to ensure we help the community get enough clean and safe water in a clean environment. We shall always be working hand in hand with other development partners to ensure we reach our goal in ensuring ‘’ a healthy food secured community’’ as it is enshrined in our vision.

We take this opportunity to thank the members of Friends of Kabondo for the fund support we received to protect Nyariasi Spring. We wish to work more hard to see cleaner and safety environment in a Kabondo.
